Historically the only harder for a wingman than gathering possessions on the wing at Kardinia Park, is gathering possessions on the wing in the rain at Kardinia Park. Rain is scheduled for the end of the first quarter which will impede the Dees ability to switch the ball wide cleanly. Langdon is 7/13 on this number this season but the only slightly difficult matchup in there was the Swans.

Nic Martin (u22.5)

Nick has only covered this line 39% this season and far lower on his career. Fremantle have snuck up as a very tough uncontested matchup recently, especially at home allowing -17% uncontested on league average. Martin has been getting around 65% of his touches in the defensive half and FREO have been -8% on the season at preventing possession off HB. There’s a chance of some slipperiness in Perth tonight as well which can only hinder his accumulation.

Jordan Ridley (u20.5)

Ridley is enjoying a career patch in possession accumulation. We put that down to opposition game style more than individual form. He cleared last week due to the outlier of having more kick outs than Redman. This week, like Martin, the matchup is far harder. He’s never consistently covered this line in his career and in spite of their form, FREO away is one of the toughest in the comp atm.

Jordan Dawson (o27.5)

Has really started to find form in his role through the midfield going over this in 6 of his last 7 games with his single miss coming against the Dogs in some unfavourable conditions. Across this 7 game stretch he has averaged 29.7 which has been brought down by a 22 disposal game. The Pies have started to get back to being an ultra generous midfield match up going +15% to midfielders since R5. Dawson provides the nice blend of picking up the ball on the inside and outside which we see thrive against the Pies. Even without the tag, ADE are -11% on designated kicker inhibition, increasing confidence on this one.

Ben Keays (u24.5)

Recently Keays has been doing jobs in the midfield, and as a result this has seen his numbers sky rocket. Today his assignment will be Daicos who will likely spend more time off half back than his previous assignments. As this game is expected to be close for far longer than some of his recent tags, he'll be required to stick to him for longer and not hunt his own footy as he has been doing recently. Should be a nice tight tag all day.

Nick Daicos (u30.5)

Nick's form has dropped off recently having gone under this in 5 of his last 7. Today he gets the Crows in what should be a tough match up, the Crows give up the least uncontested possessions in the comp and are likely to have Ben Keays hang off him all afternoon to make life tough.
